The Goan: Why haveyou not been able to arrest Rajesh Faldessai so far?
Jivba Dalvi: He has given false addresses even to JMFC andHigh Court. His house in Old Goa is sold to someone long ago, yet he used thataddress on his bail petitions. His wife visits his flat, which is also his office,at Caranzalem yet we are unable to trace him.
TG: Are you undersome kind of pressure from powerful politicians?
JD: He has thebacking of powerful people. Please don’t pressurise me. I want to nab thatb****** first and then interrogate him and get names from him. We even pickedup his brother but he is not cooperating.
TG: Two names have been regularly cropping in your investigations. Theyare being allegedly trying to pressurise you.
JD: Please Ican’t say anything.
TG: Shall we give youthe names?
JD: Please… (asif to say ‘don’t force me’). There are two people. Very powerful and notconnected with the present government.
