Round 4 match ends in goalless draw at Duler stadium

Salgaocar Football Club drew goalless with Vasco Sports in the Goa Pro League (Round 4) match, at Duler Stadium, here, on Tuesday.
In the 4th minute the Greens' Myron Borges took a shot on goal off a free-kick taken by Thangjam Singh but was well saved by Shilton Fernandes, the keeper of Vasco SC. Six minutes later, Kingslee Fernandes comes close to breaking the deadlock after a cross from John Fernandes but Abhijit Das made a good save in the Salgaocar goal.
In the 22nd minute, Vasco SC’s Jerose Oliveira had to be stretchered off because he was unintentionally elbowed on the nose by Salgaocar's Gilbert Oliveira. Minutes later, Jerose came back on the field but had to be substituted in the 32nd minute with Caitano Fernandes. Nine minutes later, Salgaocar FC’s Aslon Oliveira made a cross to Gilbert who took a blistering shot on goal but was cleared by Shilton, the rival keeper.
In the additional two minutes of the first half the Greens missed two golden scoring opportunities. First Gilbert's shot from inside the box was somehow kept out on the line and then Rosario's shot wide off the rival crossbar. Salgaocar had a total of four shots on goal whereas Vasco managed barely one shot on goal yet in the first half both the teams went into the breather tied goalless.
Post resumption, Vasco made their second substitution by replacing John Fernandes with Shubham Dessai. Salgaocar made two substitutions by pulling out Jason Barboza with Umesh Harijan and simultaneously substituting Myron Borges with Charles Miranda. In the 61st minute, the newly substituted Salgaocar FC’s Umesh was yellow carded by referee Sainath Haldankar for a rough tackle on the rival custodian.
In the 64th minute, Salgaocar made their third substitution and switched Brian Mascarenhas with James Fernandes. The Greens' Charles picked a yellow card in the 67th minute for a reckless tackle on Vasco SC’s Jeremy Menezes. Both the teams kept striving hard to score but were unable to break the deadlock. In the 73rd minute, Vasco missed a brilliant scoring opportunity when Shubham tried to net in the ball but was blocked by rival keeper, Abhijit.
In the 87th minute, Salgaocar FC's Charles Miranda was red carded and sent off, on receiving his second yellow card for the day. Left with no option the Greens continued to play one men down.
