At the ongoing 2nd Elite Men's Boxing Nationals being held at Visakhapatnam, Goa's Santosh Harijan beat Mizoram's Zonuntluamga by unanimous decision to enter the semi-finals and assure himself of a medal.

With punch combinations of hooks, uppercut and straight punches he didn't give Zonuntluamga any chance to attack in the three rounds. He now faces Sikkim's Suraj Rai in the semi-finals. The nationals that commenced on October 23 will conclude on October 30.
