In 1922, Harry Houdini was the most famous magician in the world. He used to often say no magic trick could fool him if he saw it 3 times. This card trick by Canadian magician Dai Vernon, however, proved to be the exception to the rule. Vernon's trick involved a sleight of hand where he removed the top card of the deck and placed it second from the top, For years Vernon even used the title The Man Who Fooled Houdini in his advertisements.
