Running of trains came to a halt for some time on late Friday evening after a rickshaw rammed against the iron bar at the Comba railway crossing at Margao.
The incident occurred when the crossing was being closed for vehicular traffic for the trains to run. However, as the personnel at the manned crossing was about to close the crossing, a rickshaw, which was in the process of making it to the other side, hit the iron bar.
The rickshaw stood on the tracks after the incident, leaving a couple of trains to make a brief halt before rail traffic resumed. This is not the first time that vehicles have hit the iron bar at the Comba railway crossing when the crossing is being closed for traffic for the trains to run.
