The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) has expelled two of its leaders — Pradip Raghunath Dessai, a PCC Executive Member, and Devendra Prabhu Dessai — for repeated anti-party activities, with immediate effect.
GPCC President Amit Patkar in an order said that the decision is based on the directives received from the AICC in-Charge Secretary and after examining the seriousness of the anti-party activities. He said that the two leaders had acted in total violation of the discipline, principles and interests of the Indian National Congress.
The GPCC stated that their behaviour amounted to deliberate and repeated anti-party conduct, which the party said could not be condoned under any circumstances.
Patkar said that both the leaders have been expelled from the Indian National Congress and will no longer hold any posts, responsibilities or membership at any level of the organisation.
