The ongoing tourist season’s first direct flight from Uzbekistan arrived in Goa, marking the resumption of services between Tashkent and Goa.
The A-320 aircraft that landed at Manohar International Airport, Mopa, carried 121 passengers on board.
“The reinstated connection with Uzbekistan strengthens Goa’s international connectivity and adds momentum to our efforts to expand into new global markets. It has opened fresh opportunities for travel and engagement between our destinations,” Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik added that the global partnership allows visitors from Uzbekistan to experience Goa’s culture, festivals, and unique offerings with greater ease.
“The service enhances convenience for inbound travellers and supports cultural exchange, leisure movement, and future collaborative initiatives as part of Goa’s efforts to widen its international outreach,” he said.
