The Margao police have arrested a person from Nepal after he was found in possession of 23 capsules of a blackish-brown sticky substance, suspected to be Charas.
The substance wrapped in fine polythene paper weighed around 250 grams and is worth around Rs 1.25 lakh.
Margao police station in-charge, PI Tulsidas Naik informed that the accused Himal Malla (18), a native of Nepal, was caught near the Holy Cross on the Margao ring road leading from the Railway station towards the power house circle late Thursday.
In this connection, an offence under section 20 (b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act have been registered by the Margao police. The police are investigating.
