Salcete politicos cast votes with wives, families

It was a Lok Sabha election, but local satraps and local politicos were all on the field on polling day to cast their vote and to support their respective candidates.

In fact, some of the politicians including Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao went to the polling stations with their spouses and family members.

At Margao, Margao MLA and former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat went to the Adarsh polling to cast vote along with wife Asha and Son Yogiraj.

In neighbouring Fatorda, Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai with wife Usha cast their vote at the Fatorda polling booth.

Revolutionary Goans Party candidate, Rubert Pereira, cast his vote at his home polling station at Arlem.

Condemning the attempt to misguide the voters on the eve of the election that he has withdrawn from the fray, Rubert said this only goes to show that his presence in the fray did not go down with his rivals.

While making an appeal to the voters to ignore the fake appeal being circulated on the social media, Rubert said people of South Goa will celebrate on June 4 when the EVMs are opened for counting as the RGP will make its presence felt in Parliament.

Former two-time MP Churchill Alemao cast his vote at his home village of Varca with daughter Valanka and Son  Savio Alemao.

Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuemkar was on the field with BJP workers  taking stock of the ground situation in the constieuncy.

Congress South Goa election Coordinator, MLA Alton D’Costa cast his vote in the morning before he set out to monitor the situation in his home constituency Quepem.
