Voting halted at 5 different places across Goa due to technical error

Panaji: Voters in Goa experienced disruptions during Tuesday's Lok Sabha elections due to technical glitches reported at five different locations: Mapusa, Panaji, Davorlim, Benaulim, and Chaudi.

The first incident occurred at Mapusa and later at booth number 24 in Davorlim's Navelim segment, where an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) malfunctioned. This caused a delay in voting for more than an hour while officials worked to resolve the issue.

Shortly after, another hiccup was encountered at Chaudi. At model booth number 7, the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) screen malfunctioned, resulting in a pause in voting for over half an hour. However, after 45 minutes, voting resumed once the VVPAT issue was fixed under the supervision of Mamlatdar Jeetendra Bugde.

Similar technical glitches were reported in Panaji, and Benaulim, adding to the challenges faced by voters. Despite these interruptions, officials managed to address the issues promptly, allowing the voting process to continue smoothly.
