Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has made history in Goa by keeping a large number of portfolios with himself after removing several ministers from their posts. This raises a big question — does CM Sawant not trust his own BJP cabinet ministers? Why is he delaying the reshuffle? Why is the BJP not giving the remaining portfolios to other MLAs, including those who switched from Congress to BJP? It looks like the BJP just wants to use them and then throw them away, like an empty cold drink can.
The opposition leader, Yuri Alemao, even said that CM Sawant should be given a crown for holding so many portfolios and trying to control everything like a one-man army. That’s why he answers questions in the Assembly for various departments himself and gets angry when the questions are tough.
