Australia wins the 2nd Ashes Test at Lords. Being now 2-0 up in the series will bring into question the Bazball strategy of England in their approach to Test cricket. When Stokes was in full flow mostly taking Green to the cleaners one was reminded of the Ashes Test in 2019 when he had produced that fabulous 135 not out and carried England to victory. At that time Stokes had Leach at the other end and this time it was Broad. Many a time during his 155 one felt an England victory was in sight. We need to look at another aspect and that is respect Test cricket and give it its due not let it degenerate into a game somewhere between a T20 & an ODI match. That's what happened with England in the 2nd Test when while batting they overplayed the hook shots and had set batsmen out to irresponsible shots. This encouraged Australia to resort to short pitched, to the bodyline bowling which England continued with in the Australian 2nd innings leading to the debacle at the end.
