Health minister must resign for justice to be served

The health minister, Vishwajit Rane must tender an unconditional apology to Dr Rudresh Kuttikar. A few days ago Rane swaggered in like some macho Rambo with TV cameras in tow in a patient care area of GMC (which itself is an illegal act) and publicly berated a senior doctor using abusive language, why he even threatened to have him physically ejected by his security staff. Your health and scientifically challenged babus have no idea how demeaning, demoralising and dehumanizing it is for a senior experienced doctor to be publicly shamed in front of juniors, colleagues, paramedics and non-clinical staff for no fault of his, it might result in the said doctor being afflicted with PTSD, it also affects the morale and work of his staff. They are never appreciated and on top of that they are made scapegoats for political agendas. Doctors in India face some form of violence -- physical, mental or emotional at their work place, scientific studies put it at 75%, your mannerless crude minister added to that.  Taking all of this into consideration, the minister must issue a public apology to the doctor and resign forthwith. Justice must be served, the good doctor deserves at least this much.
