Panaji PUC centre denying PUC to BS-VI vehicles

The Panaji SRL PUC centre is not issuing PUC to BS VI vehicles.  They are sending the BS VI vehicles to Old Goa leaving the vehicle owners confused.  Without proper checking of the vehicles, whether it is BS IV or BS VI, the SRL PUC centre are sending vehicles to Old Goa.  There is only one PUC centre at Panaji petrol bunk. These hurdles create quite stressful situations. There should be a proper reason for their denial and the correct procedure has to be explained.  PUC certificate is imperative to drive on the roads.  Under the new rule, vehicle owners have to pay heavy fines if they fail to get a pollution test done. But, the system to get a PUC certificate remains flawed.  The government must first ensure that there are enough, fully operational PUC centres within the city, if they expect commuters to get their certificates renewed well in time.  PUC certification in Goa is full of hassles for commuters. There is no mechanism for checking whether the vehicles whose PUC certificates have expired are in use.
