Chandan, Aaron, Ishita, Neeza to headline Priority Gaspar Dias Open

Goa’s finest table tennis talents including Chandan Caro, Aaron Farias, Ishita Colaso, Neeza Kamat, Dheeraj Rai, Rishan Shaikh, Urvi Surlakar, Ruhaan Shaikh and Dhruva Kamat will be in action at the Priority Gaspar Dias Open All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, powered by Priority Constructions, from September 17 to 21.

The five-day championship, held under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association, will feature thrilling contests across age groups, women’s and men’s singles, and veterans, promising a showcase of emerging stars and seasoned performers.

Promising youngsters such as Yug Prabhu, Ishaan Colaso, Vedant Wagle, Aayushi Amonkar, Sachi Dessai, Gianna George, Tisha Shaikh, Ashank Dalvi, Anaya Shukla, Shaurya Dessai and Aarna Lotlikar are some of the names who will be expected to make their presence felt with spirited performances.

The event kicks off on September 17 with the Boys U11, U13, and U15 categories, followed by the Girls U11, U13, and U15 matches on September 18. The action heats up on September 19 with the U19 and Women’s categories, before shifting focus to the Men’s Singles on September 20, where some of Goa’s biggest names will battle for supremacy.

The grand finale on September 21 will see the Veterans’ competition in the morning session, leading into a blockbuster afternoon of all finals, where the state’s best will aim to etch their names in glory.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Parind Nachinolkar, promoter of the event, said: “This championship has always been more than just a competition – it is a celebration of table tennis in Goa. Our aim is to provide players across all age groups with the opportunity to compete in a professional setting and to test their skills against the very best in the state.”

Echoing these sentiments, GTTA President Sudin Verenkar remarked: “Year after year, this tournament has grown in prestige and participation, and 2025 promises to be no different with over 200 players. We are proud to be part of an event that not only showcases talent but also strengthens the foundation of table tennis in Goa, paving the way for our players to shine at the national level and beyond.”
