Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda dominated Varca Sports Club in the 13th Cana Benaulim Panchayat cup football tournament, securing a convincing 6-1 victory and a spot in the semifinals , at St John de Baptista ground, Benaulim.
DBO wasted no time taking the lead early in the fifth minute with a goal by young winger Myron Fernandes. Clencio Pinto extended their lead in the 18th minute capitalising on a pass from Richie Vaz. Varca managed to pull one back before halftime with a surprise goal by Leander Mendonca.
The second half saw DBO completely overpower Varca's defense. Clencio Pinto scored twice, fueled by assists from Hanslum Furtado and a defensive error by Varca. Furtado himself got on the scoresheet shortly after, intercepting a loose pass. The demoralised Varca conceded another goal to Sarineo Fernandes sealing the win for DBO Fatorda. Clencio Pinto's impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
