Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda booked their place in the semifinals of the 25th All Goa St Anne's Festival Inter-Village Soccer 2025, organised by Ponda Footballers and powered by Dr Bhatikar Charitable Trust and SAG, with a thrilling 3-2 comeback win over FC Siolim.
The match, held at Ponda, saw Siolim take the lead in the 14th minute through Saideep Pomburphekar, heading into the break 1-0 up. But the second half turned into a goal fest within minutes.
Clive Miranda brought Fatorda level in the 32nd minute, before a defensive error saw a Siolim player inadvertently head the ball into his own net just two minutes later, giving Fatorda a 2-1 lead. Siolim responded immediately, equalising through Puchparaj Mandrekar's header in the 35th minute.
The decisive moment came in the 59th minute when Richie Vaz latched onto a through ball and calmly slotted it past the keeper to seal the win for Fatorda.
Richie Vaz was named Man of the Match for his match-winning performance. The prize was presented by former footballer Martin Pires, who also featured in the post-match celebrations.
