Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda trounced Youth Sports Club Colvale 3-0 in the final of Nerul Cup 2023 at Nerul ground on Wednesday.
Don Bosco netted a goal each through Elroy Barreto, Weelly Barreto and Frazier Miranda in the 10th, 23d and 60th minutes respectively. Individual prizes were awarded to: 1st goal of the final - Elroy Barreto, Best goalkeeper - Roque Borges, DBO Fatorda, Best midfielder - Cliff Barreto, DBO Fatorda, Best striker - Roger Miranda, DBO Fatorda, Player of the tournament - Hanslum Futardo, DBO Fatorda, Best disciplined team - Pilerne SC.
Chief Guest Akshay Tandon, president and co-owner of FC Goa was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of guest of honour Kedar Naik, MLA Saligao constituency and chairman of GSIDC, ZP member Sandeep Bandodkar, Sudesh Govekar, Sarpanch VP Nerul, John Mendes, Panch member, VP Nerul, Sidarth T Shirodkar, president of Nerul Sports Club and other members.
