Goa Taekwondo Association announced the Goa State Team selected for the 38th Kyurogi Senior Mens & Womens Taekwondo Championship from February 10 to 12 at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Puducherry. Swaroopa Redkar, Vaibhavi Karekar, Kimberley Fernandes, Parnita Tari, Asha Babu Naik, Sneha Linda Fernandes, Divya Manikyala, Khalida Banu have been selected for the Women’s Team. While Deepak Singh, Anil Rajak, Rajesh B S, Pritam Singh, Harsh Panghal, Arshad Hussein, Saravana Kumar and P Anand have been selected for the Men’s Team. The players will be coached by Sunil Sharma and Oken Meitei.
Sports Minister Govind Gaude greeted the team and handed over sports-kits sponsored by SAG to all the players. The Minister motivated the team and wished them all the best. The Secretary-General of Taekwondo Association Navin Pai Raikar and Senior Taekwondo Coach Theophile Lowe and Sunil Sharma, Vikram Karekar, Oken Meithi, Manoj Gaonkar, Deepak Mandrekar accompanied the Minister at the function.
