The Goans Hockey Junior Women's team recorded remarkable victories at the 15th Hockey India Junior Women's National Championship 2025 at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
Goans Hockey played their first match against Jammu and Kashmir and set the path for their victory with two back-to-back goals. The first one in the 16th minute and the second goal in the 19th minute by Prachi Yadav and Rubi Rathore respectively.
The game was pretty tough and the attacks went back and forth as both teams were fighting in full swing. The other team was successful in scoring a goal in the second half but the Goan girls gave their all and defended their slender lead till the final whistle.
In the second match held next day against Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, the match was estimated to be a tougher match but the girls showed their clear intent for victory with early goals in the fourth minute of the game through striker Prachi Yadav and in the 10th minute by midfielder Priyanka Balmik.
They sealed the victory with the third goal in 25th minute and fourth goal in the 59th minute thanks to Priyanka Balmik.
