The King’s School U-17 Girls football team taking part in the CBSE Nationals Football Tournament 2024-25 as CBSE South Zone II champions have made an impressive start with two back-to-back wins in Pool A
The tournament is being held at RMK Residential Senior Secondary School, Kavaraipettai, Tamil Nadu, featuring elite teams from eight CBSE Zones across India, as well as international teams from the UAE and Oman.
In the first match , they secured a 1-0 victory against St. Joseph’s School, Madhya Pradesh, with a decisive goal by Valaina. Later, they displayed their prowess with a commanding 5-0 win over Credence High School, Dubai, with Valaina scoring a hat-trick, and teammates Neha Verlecar and Analee D’Costa adding to the tally.
It is a massive achievement to represent CBSE South Zone II which comprises of schools from across Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and parts of Kerala and Lakshaweep.
Upcoming matches will see The King’s School, Goa, face Jawahar Hr. Sec. School, Tamil Nadu and Air Force Bal Bharti School, New Delhi.
