The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), India’s leading insurance company, is organising its prestigious All India LIC Games 2023-24.
The mega sporting event of the year is being hosted by LIC’s Goa Division from November 28 to December 1 at Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Peddem, Mapusa in the disciplines of badminton, carrom, chess, table tennis and volleyball. The athletics events will be held at Athletics Stadium, Bambolim.
Chairperson of LIC of India, Siddhartha Mohanty will inaugurate the Games in the presence of LIC Zonal Manager (Western Zone), Kamal Kumar, Executive Director (OD/HRD), Salil Vishwanath, Executive Director (Corporate Communications), Aditya Gupta and Chief Personnel, Sandeep Kumar.
In the four-day event, around 450 employees working in different offices of the corporation pan India come together in a cordial and competitive environment with a lively display of talent, teamwork and sportsmanship. LIC recruits sportspersons, provides facilities and encourages them to participate at national and international levels.
The Games are expected to bring out excellence from the pool of players in the tournament. The event is expected to showcase interesting contests among a large fleet of young and dynamic sportspersons, many of whom have experience at the national and international levels.
