Majhi Mumbai emerged victorious in a thrilling final, defeating Srinagar Ke Veer by three wickets to win the second season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane on Saturday.

The match was a rollercoaster, with fortunes shifting constantly before Mumbai sealed the win with Ankur’s massive six.

Srinagar posted a competitive 120/5, thanks to an explosive unbeaten 59 from Akash Tarekar and a strong 40 from Sagar Ali, whose opening partnership set the tone. However, Mumbai’s bowlers, led by Abhishek Kumar Dalhor, who took two wickets to finish the season with 24, fought back to contain the opposition.

Mumbai’s pursuit was shaky, but captain Vijay Pawle steadied the ship with a vital 9-ball 22, supported by Birendra’s 6-ball 14. With six needed off the final over, Ankur missed the first two balls before launching the third for a game-winning six.

Endorsed by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, the ISPL has grown into a spectacle, showcasing the raw talent of street cricketers. The tournament, which also featured Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, provided a platform for players like Dalhor, who became the most expensive player of the season, purchased for Rs 20.5 lakh.
