FC Siolim edged past St Anthony’s Club, Colva in a dramatic sudden-death tiebreaker, winning 9–8 in the third quarterfinal of the 34th St Rock’s Super Soccer tournament, organised by St Rock Youth Club, Calata Majorda.
The match ended 1–1 in regulation time. Vishank Dhargalkar gave FC Siolim the lead in the 12th minute with a superbly curled effort into the far corner. St Anthony’s responded in the second half through Vicky Cardozo, who calmly slotted home the equaliser.
With neither side able to find a winner in normal time, the contest was decided via a penalty shootout. FC Siolim held their nerve in the sudden-death phase, converting crucial kicks to seal a narrow victory.
