PANAJI: The 3rd Daji Sonawane Memorial Canacona Taluka Chess Tournament is scheduled to take place on September 14, at Shradhanand Vidyalaya, Paingin, starting from 9 am onwards.
The tournament is sponsored and organised by Harsh Sonawane, in collaboration with the Canacona Sports & Cultural Club, and is being held under the aegis of the Canacona Taluka Chess Association.
The event is open to all chess enthusiasts from the region. While there is no entry fee, participants are required to register through a Google Form by September 11 to confirm their entry.
This year’s tournament offers cash prizes worth ₹40,000, along with more than 40 medals and trophies, promising to recognize and reward talent across various categories.
