MARGAO: Fr Agnel SC Paroda edged past St Anthony Assolda SC 5-4 in a thrilling tie-breaker to secure a place in the semifinals of the All-Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament, organised by United Club of Utorda in association with the Sports Authority of Goa.
The match ended 2-2 in regulation time, with Frazer Gomes and Victorino Fernandes scoring for St Anthony Assolda SC, while Krishna Gaonkar and Ivo Costa found the net for Fr Agnel SC Paroda.
Denzil Gomes of Fr Agnel SC Paroda was named Man of the Match and received the award from chief guest Anthony Fernandes, Assistant Sports Secretary of UC Utorda.
