Goan goalkeeping coach Mario Aguiar has been roped in by Hyderabad FC.
A former professional player, Aguiar represented clubs such as Dempo, SESA, and Churchill Brothers during his playing career. Transitioning to coaching, he has made significant contributions to the sport, particularly with youth teams.
Aguiar has been involved with the National Team’s youth sides for nearly a decade, serving as the goalkeeper coach for the U17 team that participated in the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2017. An A-licensed coach, he has also worked with the Sports Authority of Goa and served as a coach instructor for the All India Football Federation (AIFF), teaching D and C licences as well as Level 1 coaching for goalkeepers. Additionally, he holds a Level 3 licence as a goalkeeper coach.
