Goa lost to CBSE by 14 runs in the girls quarter-finals on Day 3 of the 31st Junior National tennis ball cricket championship, in Jammu, on Wednesday.
Batting first, CBSE scored 49 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 6 overs. Goa Bowling
Pratiksha Kerkar picked up two wickets while Samiksha Patyekar and Purva Gaude got one wicket each.
In reply, Goa were restricted to 35 runs. Alisha Akarkar was the top scorer of the innings with 10 runs while Purva Gaude (8), Pratiksha Patyekar (5) and Saniya Zore (3) also contributed to the score line.
In the boys quarterfinal match, Goa defeated AIIB by 8 wickets. Batting first, AIIB posted 37 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 7.4 overs.
Manish Rao scalped three wickets while Harsh Gala picked one.
Goa chased down the target in 3.4 overs thanks to unbeaten partnership of Pratik Naik (20) and Akshad Naik (18)
Earlier the girls won by four wickets against Uttarakhand while the boys won by seven wickets against the same opposition.
