Govt College Quepem (GCQ) emerged winners in the men’s category at the Inter College Power Lifting Championship, organised by Goa University, held recently.
A total of 25 colleges participated in the Men’s competition.
In the 59 kg weight category, GCQ's Jesus Joseph bagged the gold medal with the total lift of 432.5 kg. Devesh Gaonkar clinched gold medal in the 74 kg weight category with a total lift of 525 kg.
The winning team members comprised of Jesus Joseph, Devesh Gaonkar, Vehung Naik, Chaitanya Naik and Aditya Naik.
