MARGAO: Indian Arrows Women Juniors secured a 2-0 victory over Roots Football Club in the Indian Women's League 2 Final Round 2024-25, played at the GFA Duler Ground in Mapusa on Friday.
The match remained goalless at halftime, with Indian Arrows dominating possession but being kept at bay by a disciplined Roots FC defence.
The breakthrough came in the 59th minute when midfielder Anushka Kumari fired home a quick snapshot past the goalkeeper to give Indian Arrows a deserved lead. Striker Divyani Linda sealed the win in the 81st minute with a confident finish, ensuring three points for the Arrows.
Indian Arrows controlled proceedings for most of the match and fully capitalised on their second-half momentum to walk away with a solid win.
