Six-day chess coaching camp held at Curti

Ajinkya Chess Academy, in association with the Ponda Taluka Chess Association, organized a six-day chess coaching camp at Curti, Ponda, aimed at introducing young learners to the fundamentals of the game.

The camp was conducted under the guidance of chess coach Anand Kurtikar, with Pratik Gaude assisting him. Over the course of the camp, children were taught essential concepts such as the movement of chess pieces, castling, chess notations, check, checkmate, draw scenarios, and the relative value of each chess piece.

A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the conclusion of the camp. Notable dignitaries who graced the occasion included: Amogh Namshiker, Secretary, Ponda Taluka Chess Association, Mashal Adpaikar, Former Panch, Adpai-Durbhat Panchayat, Tushar Kurtikar, Physical Education Teacher, Dada Vaidya High School, Dhaku Kurtikar, Secretary, Shree Krishna Devalay, Anand Kurtikar, Chess Coach and Executive Committee Member, PTCA.

Speaking at the event, Amogh Namshiker urged the young participants to dedicate at least 30 minutes daily to chess practice to sharpen their skills. Mashal Adpaikar lauded the efforts of Anand Kurtikar and appreciated his initiative in nurturing young talent through the camp.

The event was successfully coordinated with the active involvement of Manohar Gaude and Vrajesh Natekar, who played vital roles in its organization.
