Sonics girls to lock horns with Sharda Mandir in finals

Sonics Porvorim dominated Don Bosco Panjim, winning 27-2 in the girls semi-finals of the U-16 State basketball championship organised by Goa Basketball Association, at Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda.

Keiya and Kim led the scoring for Sonics with 7 points each.

In the second semi-final, Sharda Mandir edged out Fatima Convent 29-21. Nora's impressive 19 points powered Sharda Mandir to victory, while Wynoshka chipped in with 9 points for Fatima Convent.

In the boys semi-finals, Ignitus Margao defeated Sonics Porvorim 23-21 in a thrilling comeback. Jude led Ignitus with 10 points, while Daniel top-scored for Sonics with 6 points.

In the other semi-final, Don Bosco Fatorda secured a narrow 29-27 victory over Don Bosco Panjim in an intense battle. David (13 points) and Sean (12 points) paced Fatorda, while Kevin impressed for Panjim with 16 points.
