MARGAO: The All-Goa 8-a-side Inter-Village Tribal Football Festival tournament, organised by the Youth Hostels Association of India, Margao Unit, in association with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, got underway at the Laymati Football Ground, Davorlim, on Saturday.
The tournament was declared open by Navelim MLA and Chairman of Kadamba Transport Corporation, Ulhas Tuenkar, in the presence of PI Filomena Costa, Laxmidas Mangeshkar, and other dignitaries.
In the inaugural match, Our Lady of Fatima Betmoddi Tilamol emerged victorious, defeating Curtorim Boys by 2-1.
