Peter Carvalho joins FC Bardez

Peter Carvalho, the veteran midfielder from Quepem, in his bid to make it big at the national stage has joined Goa Pro League outfit FC Bardez.

"I have signed for FC Bardez for three years," the former India international, told The Goan Everyday on Wednesday.

The central midfielder has played for a number of clubs like Dempo Sports Club, Fransa FC, Raia Sporting Club and MPT in his long career in the combined era of National Football League (NFL) and I-League and is one of the few players who have taken part in the last couple of seasons in the top-flight competition.

In the Indian Super League (ISL), he played for FC Goa and Kerala Blasters.

FC Bardez will be coached by former India, Dempo and East Bengal coach Armando Colaco. The club has already roped in the likes of former central defenders Mathew Gonsalves (Sporting Clube de Goa), Rowilson Rodrigues from Bharat FC and Jessel Carneiro. Calling his new assignment, the realisation of a dream, Carvalho who played ten years for Dempo Sports Club is aware of the challenge on hand-helping FC Bardez to Goa Pro League glory.

"I am delighted to join FC Bardez. I have belief in my self and my team and I would like to thank the coach and management for making this possible," said Carvalho.
