On January 30, 2013, I was proceeding on my scooter towardsa fair at the SGPDA market and took a right where I wasn’t supposed to. I wasstopped by the traffic police and produced by license and documents. I wasasked to pay a fine of Rs 300 which I agreed to. But, when I asked for areceipt, the policeman returned Rs 200 back to me and asked me to move ahead orI would face action.
I couldn’t complain because I didn’t really have any proof, but I can identify the cop. There was must be some way to stop this fromhappening. - James Moraes, Cuncolim
