A webinar to create awareness on the scheme to set up a pharmacy to sell generic medicines was held under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana. The department of pharmaceuticals, department of chemicals and fertilisers, government of India commemorated ‘Jan Aushadhi Diwas’ with the theme ‘Jan Aushadhi- Jan Upayogi’ and a webinar was held to underline the importance of generic medicines in today’s times, when the cost of medicines are skyrocketing and are out of the reach of the pockets of poor and needy. The Goa State Price Monitoring and Resource Unit under Directorate of Food and Drug Administration, Bambolim had organised the webinar on the topic ‘Jan Aushadhi Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ through Google meet.
