The feast of St John the Baptist, patron Saint of Pilerne, will be celebrated on June 24, 2021.
The feast is celebrated by the Comunidade of Pilerne along with the Parish Pastoral Council and Parishioners.
The novenas have already begun with the Rosary being conducted at 5 pm followed by Novena Mass. This year due to the Covid protocol the Novenas are live-streamed.
The vespers will be held on June 23 at 6 pm. There will be only one Mass on the feast day at 9 am. Fr Romeu Godhino, Director of Diocesan Catechetical Centre will be the main celebrant for the feast mass.
The Parish Youth of Pilerne (PYP) will be organising an online event called E- 'Plash' 3.0 Lockdown edition on the feast day of their patron. This event will include many online contests for all age levels.
