Simran Sawant, also known as Noorie Sawant, is an advocate by profession and an influencer by passion. Based in the peaceful village of Cumbarjua, Marcel, she completed her higher secondary education in Ponda and earned both her law degree and Master’s in Law from V. M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar. Currently, she works as a legal advisor for a real estate firm while continuing her independent legal practice. Balancing her legal career with creative expression has been both fulfilling and inspiring, says Sawant.
Digital start
My journey as a digital creator began during the COVID-19 lockdown. Initially, I shared casual posts and snippets of cooking, daily outfits, travel moments, and lifestyle glimpses. As more friends and followers responded positively, I felt encouraged to create and post more regularly.
Creative expression
With a strong love for creativity and storytelling, I began curating visually appealing and authentic content. From experimenting with reels to capturing spontaneous everyday moments, I discovered joy in expressing myself online. Over time, local restaurants, brands, and businesses began noticing my work, leading to collaborations; from food tastings to product reviews and brand promotions.
Inspiration
What pushed me to start sharing online was the desire to inspire and express myself creatively, beyond the courtroom. The structured world of law contrasts with the freedom I find in digital creation. Social media became the perfect space to celebrate what I love; fashion, food, travel, and daily life.
Spontaneous style
There’s no fixed structure to my content. Since I juggle law practice and a legal advisory role, time can be limited. But because I’m passionate about content creation, I ensure I make time. My posts are spontaneous whether it’s an outfit I wore to a function or a travel experience, I capture and share what feels meaningful in the moment.
Food focus
With food, whether through collaborations or personal visits, I share only if I genuinely enjoy the place or dish. During brand collaborations, I visit, try the food, and give honest reviews via reels. The same applies to events and products, authenticity is key.
Authenticity
In a world where many create similar content, staying true to yourself is most important. I don’t follow trends blindly. I post what I believe in, things I personally enjoy. I don’t overthink my content, I share what feels right, whether it’s a meal, an outfit, or a scenic view. People connect with what’s real.
Honest voice
Even during collaborations, I maintain honesty. I only promote what I genuinely like. I believe that being myself and sharing my journey authentically is what sets me apart.
Family support
My journey wouldn’t be possible without my family especially my brother, Tanay Sawant. From the start, my parents and brother supported me in pursuing both my legal and creative passions. Tanay played a major role, guiding me through content creation, understanding Instagram’s algorithm, and helping grow my page. When I won the Best Reel award at the Goa Influencer Awards 2024, I dedicated it to him.
Unexpected path
I never planned on becoming an influencer. This began as a casual hobby during lockdown while I was still studying law. As people engaged with my posts, it pushed me to keep going. During my Master’s and while practicing law, I continued building my online presence. Balancing studies, legal work, and content creation was a huge challenge but it also taught me time management and the value of doing what you love.
Content growth
From small moments captured in my day to working with well-known brands and receiving recognition, the journey has been filled with growth. The support from loved ones and my passion for creating keeps me moving forward, even when challenges arise.
Engagement
I keep my followers engaged through consistent posts and interactions; whether via stories, comments, or messages. I try to keep things fresh by highlighting different aspects of my life: fashion, food, travel, and everyday lifestyle. I don’t chase every trend, but I stay aware of what’s current and pick what aligns with my style.
Balanced life
Since I’m also a legal advisor and advocate, I focus on managing time well. I don’t obsess over algorithms, I post what I love and ensure consistency. Quality always wins over quantity.
Hobbies
Outside of social media, I enjoy dancing; a passion since childhood that led me to participate in school, college, and external competitions. I also love crafting and other creative activities, which helps with making fun and engaging reels. Helping people whenever I can is also something I genuinely enjoy. Influencing and capturing the beauty of nature are lifelong passions.
Learning curve
I didn’t learn brand-building through formal courses. Everything I know came from passion, observation, and following other creators. Watching and learning helped me shape my own unique voice in this space.
Milestones
Today, I’m proud to be an empanelled influencer with ESG, Goa. From guest invites to blessings at Shree Swami Samarth Devasthan, Marcel, and the Best Reel Award 2024, each milestone proves that passion, faith, and consistency make anything possible.
Future goals
Looking ahead, I want to continue my content creation journey alongside my legal career. I don’t plan to stop. I want to grow, reach new audiences, and collaborate with larger brands and creators. The goal is to strike a healthy balance while staying authentic and evolving creatively.
Advice
For aspiring content creators-believe in yourself. Stay confident, open to learning, and follow what you love. Don’t copy others-draw inspiration, but stick to your niche. Ignore the noise, trust your journey, and stay connected to your goals. Most importantly, have faith in God. With passion and determination, anything is possible.
Looking back
I wouldn’t change much about my journey. Every phase taught me something valuable. But if I could do one thing differently, I would’ve dedicated more time to content creation earlier and perhaps started this journey a few years sooner.
