LONDON

A vibrant explosion of colour, music, and unity lit up the Polo Ground in Swindon on July 5, as the town witnessed the birth of the ‘Swindon Carnival 2025’.

Organised by UK Visionary Events, the carnival marked a new chapter in community celebration, honouring Swindon’s rich diversity and cultural spirit.

The Carnival Parade featured children dressed in carnival costumes, parading proudly alongside the traditional Carnival King & Queen, while the Deputy Mayor of Swindon Councillor Neil Hopkins graced the occasion in full support.

THE PERFORMANCES

The musical energy of the Seven Notes Band set the tone for the day, igniting spirits and drawing cheers from the crowd, as they swayed to iconic performance of ‘Dukota’

But the true heartbeat of the Swindon Carnival lay in its entertainment. An exciting fusion of international and local Goan artistes electrified the stage throughout the day.

Mark Revlon brought goosebumps with his soulful performance of ‘Efernant Suate Na’, while Princeston Colaco delivered a powerful rendition of his latest hit ‘Destiny’. The Rainbow’s End, fronted by the vocals of Gladrin, also left the audience in awe.

As night fell, the Carnival turned into a high-energy party with top-tier DJ sets from DJ Frankey, Kessh, Xavier, and Kim, spinning rhythmic beats that kept the crowd dancing well into the evening. Rappers Lil Ferns & Eric Goan hyped the crowd with hard-hitting verses and infectious energy, adding a modern twist to the celebration.

THE CUISINE

The carnival wasn’t just about sights and sounds — it was a culinary journey, too. The grounds were lined with aromatic food stalls offering mouth-watering global cuisine. From authentic Goan dishes to crowd favourites, there was something to please every palate.

The UK Visionary bar kept spirits high with refreshing drinks, while interactive booths added another layer of festivity and they included face painting by ‘Paint Smile’, T-shirt design by ‘Born in Goa’, and Games stall by ‘V Goaniz’, while fair rides and business stalls engaged attendees of all ages

THE ARRANGEMENTS

Safety and support were a key focus at the event. The event featured NHS health awareness stalls, a visible ambulance presence, and comprehensive crowd management by Beast Security, ensuring the day was not only fun but safe for all.

With a 16-member organising team from UK Visionary Events, led by Lewin and Melroy, the event came to life with heartfelt commitment and seamless coordination.

Core organising members, including Gavin, George, Canute, Dominick, Martin, Imtiyaz, Sheila, Iggy, Myran, Cliffard, Micky, Mike (takur), Greg, and Cajie worked hand-in-hand to ensure the success of the event.

According to the organisers, the Swindon Carnival 2025 wasn’t just an event, it was a movement of unity, showcasing what happens when communities come together with heart and harmony.

They stated that people left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a deep appreciation for the magic only a carnival can bring.

Claiming that the inaugural celebration is only the beginning, they said the Swindon Carnival promises to grow into one of the town’s most anticipated annual traditions.
