The Goan community in Wembley sang Christmas Carols in different parts of Wembley from December 20 to 22.

According to the organisers, Elvis Fernandes and Joyce De Souza, the purpose was to engage the community as a whole during Christmas time, to spread the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ through Carol singing and to see a smile on the face of the elderly and kids while they went around singing in Wembley Central (Harrow Road), Wembley Hill, London Road, Ealing Road, etc. Some councillors also joined in the carol singing.

Both Elvis and Joyce engage in a lot of social service in Wembley and also address issues relating to the community, including problems faced by the Goans in Wembley. They engage the community in activities like London Road Street Party, Christmas carols, meeting the elderly, etc.

They help out to fill forms with different schemes like Government benefits or grants, bereavement schemes, Indian Consular service, Portuguese Consular service, housing benefits, sharing job opportunities with people seeking employment, sharing availability of housing accommodation or rent availability and helping fill forms for admissions in schools.
