A webinar on “Monsoon in Goa based on its characteristics and impact of climate change” will be held on June 11, 2021, at 4 pm. The webinar is organized by the Department of Information and Publicity as part of the Diamond Jubilee Liberation of Goa, under Goa @ 60 programmes.
The webinar also aims at enlightening the public to take adequate precautions during the monsoon, more so in the area of flooding, landslides and other damages caused to lives and properties on account of inundation. The webinar is open to the general public.
Dr J R Kulkarni, Retired IITM Senior Scientist and ex-President of IMS Pune Chapter, will talk on the above-mentioned subject via Google Meet in Marathi and English languages. The talk includes the basics of weather radar and the use of Goa radar products for understanding circulation features over Goa.
