The snake lover, Vinod Sawant, and a 12-foot King Cobra at Ambeli in Sattari.
VALPOI: A 12-foot King Cobra was rescued from a farm at Ambeli in Sattari taluka. Locals said the King Cobra had been spotted moving in the farm and this was of concern to the farm owners and others employed at the farm. The farm owner then got in touch with a snake lover, Vinod Sawant, who went to the site and rescued the King Cobra from potential harm. The snake was later released in the Mhadei Sanctuary.
