PANAJI: I-Help Foundation Goa, in partnership with TEDxPanaji, is organising a beach cleanup drive at Dona Paula on June 4. Starting at 7 am behind O Pescador near Dona Paula Jetty, the event invites all Goans to help protect the state’s fragile coastal environment. Scheduled just before World Environment Day, the drive aims to raise awareness about preserving natural spaces through community action.
This effort follows a recent blood donation camp and precedes a social outreach visit to a children’s home later in June, showing the Foundation’s wide-ranging commitment to environmental, health, and social causes.
Praveen Maurya, president of I-Help Foundation Goa, said the beach is part of Goa’s identity and the cleanup is a tribute to the land. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and sun protection; cleaning tools and support will be provided. The drive also promotes responsible tourism and sustainable living.
