PANAJI: A three-day summer camp was organised by the Cuncolim Government Town (Nagar) Library at Cuncolim, wherein 50 children participated. The camp was inaugurated by Prof Varsha Prabhugaonkar along with library committee member Akarsha Phaldesai and librarian Mahesh Gaonkar.
Prabhugaonkar highlighted the importance of such initiatives in inculcating values among children and encouraged the participants to keep practising meditation and pranayama for a focused and cheerful mind. There were sessions on yoga, meditation, fun games, and hands-on training in arts, crafts, and dance. The art of making flowers and bags out of paper was taught by Sakshi Lolayekar. Nelwyn Fernandes conducted a session on ‘Fun with Public Speaking’ for children and parents.
The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony. Celina Quadros hosted the programme, and Roopa Kankonkar proposed a vote of thanks. Shobha Desai, Gitesh Lolayekar, Dilesh Pagi, and Sangita Pagi helped to make the summer camp successful.
