The 6th mobile van e-waste collection drive was organized on Saturday by PRO - Karo Sambhav along with the German Agency for Cooperation (GIZ) for the residents of Mapusa, Porvorim, and Panaji wherein door-to-door pick up was also done. Around 17 people gave away their e-waste in the mobile van and a small token was also paid to the residents dropping off their e-waste to be disposed of by authorized means. E-waste of 533 kg has been collected. The e-waste collected from the mobile van collection will be sent to the authorized recyclers and disposed of as per the e-waste disposal norms. This is the 6th Mobile Van E-Waste collection drive organized to make people aware of the health hazards associated with e-waste and the harm it causes to the environment if it falls in the wrong hands.
