A senior citizen Naryan Mopkar (70) was missing from his home in Guirim from July 27 night. His body was found floating in a nearby lake on Thursday afternoon. He had left home on Tuesday but did not return home, so the family had registered a complaint at the Mapusa police station. The police began a search operation, and on Thursday afternoon his dead body was found floating in a nearby lake at Monteguirim. The Mapusa Fire Services brought the body out and sent it for autopsy to GMC after panchanama was done. The police are further investigating the matter.
