PANAJI: Om Nitish Kerkar has passed Chartered Accountancy exam (CA) held in May 2023 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in the first attempt and came in the merit list with All India Rank 38 (AIR 38) and stood first in the State of Goa. In May 2023 around 1,50,000 students appeared for CA final exam and only 8.3% among them could pass this professional exam. Om, who is now a qualified CA, had secured first rank in Goa University for his Integrated Master of Commerce (Accounting and Financial Analysis) examination held in July 2022. Grandson of late Dr DV Kerkar and Dr Shalini Kerkar, Om is the son of Dr Nitish and Dr Deepa Kerkar.
