The 11th edition of ‘Orchid Award for Women Achievers of Goa – 2024 was celebrated at the Panaji convention centre in the presence of Sulakshana Sawant and Ranjita Pai, chairperson Women’s Commission. At the event the Orchid Awards were given to the women achievers for their hard work in their respective fields. The award winners were Isabel Vas (Education), Dr Aparna Pradhan (Art & Culture), Mehak Navelkar (Sports), Anita Pereira (Social Work), Gauree Malkarnekar (Journalism) Soyara Mohite (Business), Siya Shaikh (Women Empowerment), Maadhurya Morajkar (Girl Child Prodigy). Attended by 400 citizens from Goa, the event was hosted by Niharika and Colleen. ‘The Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao’ concept was beautifully showcased with the Kunbi walk by nine little girls and nine women. Founder of Orchid Awards, Asha Arondekar welcomed the audience and expressed her gratitude.
