PANAJI: 3 Military Training Regiment is country’s premier training institution located at South Goa and is part of 2 Signal Training Centre and imparts training to Agniveers (AVs) of Corps of Signals. The establishment has trained approximately 3000 Agniveers since the commencement of the Agnipath Scheme, beginning of this year.
Agniveer batch I and II commenced their Basic Military Training (BMT) in the month of January and March 2023 respectively and thereafter proceeded to the Technical Training Regiments at Bambolim and Ponda for the Advance Military Regiment (AMT). The first batch of 1422 Agniveers would be completing the training on August 5. The passing out parade of 1,422 Agniveers was conducted at ‘Signalman MK Sharma, Saurya Chakra’ parade ground of 3 Military Training Regiment, Navelim Camp (South Goa) and parade was reviewed by Brigadier Arvinder Singh Sawhney, Commandant, 2 Signal Training Centre.
