PANAJI: Samraat Club Panaji organised a Shiv Jayanti programme on February 22, 2026 at the Youth Hostel, Miramar, to promote the values of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Around 150 people attended the event, with 44 participants taking part in drawing, fancy dress, cooking and quiz competitions. Senior theatre artiste Yaduraja Sawant was felicitated on the occasion. Retired headmaster Prasad Sawant was the chief guest, while State President of Samraat Club (State 1) Shashikant Punaji was the guest of honour. The organising committee included President Anju Desai, Manjeet Bedi, Sakshi Vast and Rohidas Naik.
Drawing winners were: First category — Sharv Joshi, Navami Thakre, Jhanvi Korawar; Second category — Yohan Pednekar, Triveni Sutar, Idhika Tiwari; Third category — Aryan Singh, Shenora Rawat, Manaswi Sawant. Fancy dress winners were: First category — Kiyansh Naik, Anaisha Parab, Triveni Sutar; Second category — Siddhi Faldessai, Parth Gawas, Shiva Bharathi. Cooking competition winners were: Supriya Pedamkar, Archana Bakhale and Shobha Krishnavagol.
